It’s going to be an interesting evening of rhythmic music tonight. As part of the Madison Square Park Oval Lawn music series of outdoor concerts, Forro in the Dark & Debo Band will play tonight on the big lawn in the park . It’s free and you can set up a blanket and a picnic, plus they have food for sale by Calexico.

Forro in the Dark plays native music of Northern Brazil. Debo Band is influenced by everything from Ethiopian pop music to American soul and funk to Eastern European bands. It runs from 6pm until 8:30pm and is brought to you by the Madison Square Park Conservancy.
