Fiction author Etgar Keret will be giving a free talk and reading at Baruch College today at 3pm in the Information & Technology Library Building (151 E. 25th Street, Rackow Conference Room – Room 750).

He is very well-known in Israel and the United States for his collections of short stories that blend reality with wacky surrealistic situations. His most famous books include The Bus Driver Who Wanted To Be God & Other Stories, The Nimrod Flipout: Stories, and his latest Suddenly, a Knock on the Door: Stories. I have seen him speak at the PEN Festival and he is a really interesting and eccentric guy. Definitely stop by if you have a chance.

His short stories are quick original reads that spark the imagination. Over 40 have reportedly been adapted into short and feature films!
