Well this weekend was the last of the Antony Gormley exhibit Event Horizon, which featured 31 life-sized statues placed along rooftops and around the Madison Square Park area from March 26th through August 15th.

The installation was presented by the Madison Square Park Conservancy as part of the Madison Square Art series.

Here are some photos of a few of the statues.

During their time with us, they caused some 911 distress.

They were a magnet for tourist photos.

They caused a few uncomfortable parent-child talks being anatomically correct.

They were a place to leash your dog or bike for a minute.

But particularly up along the buildings, they certainly added a visually dramatic dimension to our neighborhood.

Next up in Madison Square Park is a light installation by SF artist Jim Campbell.
