The Madison Square Park Music series continues this evening from 7pm-8:30pm with jazz from the Jeff “Tain” Watts Quartet. Watts is a Grammy award winning jazz drummer so this one will be amazing for jazz fans.

It’s part of a FREE music series hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy and it takes place on the Oval Lawn in Madison Square Park on Wednesday evenings in the summer.

If you haven’t been to one of these yet, it’s great to just bring a blanket and some food (hit up the Fatty stand or grab some Shake Shack or bread, meats and cheese from Eataly) and have dinner and drinks on the lawn with music in the background.

This is the 10th season of the program! We posted the full calendar at www.madparknews.com/art_and_music/madison-square-park-music-calendar-2012/.

As usual, Fatty Crew will be selling Ribs, Fatty Wedges, beer and more in the park from 12-8:30pm.

Here’s Jeff “Tain” Watts with a quintet playing ‘The Impaler’ (Watts on drums)
