When we first wrote about the upcoming Jim Campbell art installation in Madison Square Park this fall, it seemed like it would be a bigger version of his LED pieces found in galleries. Sounded great but I think we undersold it. After seeing the renderings in the Madison Square Conservancy newsletter, this looks like it will be visually phenomenal.

It’s not just a wall of LED lights, it’s 2000 suspended lights over the Oval Lawn.  The Campbell exhibit will run from October 21st through December 10th. Here is a link to the renderings of the installation so you can see what I mean.
