The New York Times wrote up a piece today on the new condo development Two Forty One Fifth (241 5th Avenue between 27th and 28th Street) and all reports are that sales are going quite well. Streeteasy shows 20 units in contract and the building website shows 10 for sale, including a studio ($950k), and one/two/three bedrooms ($1.2mm-3.97mm) averaging $1,955/sq ft . The building is one block north of Madison Square Park, which has seen a surge in neighborhood improvements in the last 10 years and has become one of the most desired neighborhoods to live in in the city.
There will reportedly be 46 units in the 20-story glass tower developed by Victor Homes with architecture by ODA and construction by Triton. Expected completion is by early fall. Amenities include a doorman, a fitness center with a changing area, a treatment room for massage, and a resident’s lounge.
