New Brooks Brothers concept store opens in the Flatiron
Brooks Brothers opened up a new concept store in the Flatiron on Saturday at 901 Broadway (at 20th Street).
The store doesn’t feature the typical suits seen in other Brooks Brothers stores, but rather a more casual look geared towards college students and young professionals. (You can see the look in the image here from their website).
The inside is full of book shelves and feels a bit like some sort of Ivy League library with clothes in it. We have not seen them but we also hear that downstairs they reportedly have old school video games and free wifi available.
The building they are in is one of an incredible architecture built in 1870 and the former home of the Lord & Taylor Dry Goods Store. See a great photo of the building at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:901_Broadway_Lord_%26_Taylor.jpg.
