[limelight market gourmet market] According to Racked and Gothamist, the long-awaited conversion of the old Limelight nightclub (and other clubs in the old church) into the Limelight Marketplace (6th avenue at 20th street) is near completion and will open Friday at 2pm.
Plans were for 60 boutique shops and a gourmet market in 20,000 square feet (and even a rumor of a Grimaldi’s pizzeria inside).
The Observer reports that Tiffany & Co. is in fact moving their headquarters to 260,000 square feet of space at 200 5th Avenue right off of Madison Square Park.
They will join advertising giant Grey Group and Italian artisinal marketplace Eataly as tenants in the building around the thriving Madison Square Park area.
WWD Retail reports that Italian brand Miss Sixty is closing both of its Manhattan stores, including its flagship store in the Flatiron building.
This week the Misorena showroom (260 5th Avenue at 28th Street) will feature a Louis Féraud sample sale of French women’s formal and ready to wear clothes at 75%-90% off.
It will run all week with the following hours:
Monday: 9am-7pm (Friends & Family)
Tuesday-Friday: 9am-7pm
Saturday: 11am-7pm
