Singles are gathering on Thursday, February 6 at Tekserve (119 W. 23rd Street) for a social event with drinks, music, flirting, and two quick talks on the secrets and science to help your online dating experience. Tickets are $20 and include two free drinks (beer, soda & wine) and a $20 Tekserve shopping credit (so it’s sort of a free event!)
It kicks off at 7pm-7:30pm with drinks and mingling. Then from 7:30PM-8:00PM Bentley McBentleson will talk about ‘The Science Behind What You Should (And Should NOT!) Say In Your Dating Profile’. They analyzed a variety of OKCupid profiles in focus groups using moment-by-moment dial technology (you have probably seen these used in debates) and then did follow up interviews to figure out what profiles worked and didn’t work.
Then from 8:00PM-8:30PM Jazmin Hupp, who went on 72 dates in 6 months, will discuss the most common mistakes made by online daters. Then from 8:30pm-9pm, more socializing and drinks followed by a night out at the Guilty Goose (131 W 23rd St).
If you are in a dating rut and want to change things up, stop by Tekerve on Thursday! Get your tickets at www.eventbrite.com/e/dating-in-the-digital-age-tickets-10211014419.
