Stop by the Tekserve store (119 West 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenue) and take a photo of yourself with the product you want to give your dad for Father’s Day (up to $2,000). That means you could go for an Apple MacBook Air, an iPad, an iPhone, or even many models of Apple iMacs, as well as anything else they sell at Tekserve.
Submit the photo from step 1 to https://www.facebook.com/tekserve/app_254553244581393. They let you edit it, photoshop it, or simply upload it as is. Get creative!
Once you post your photo, it will be displayed on the Tekserve page for your friends, family, and fellow fans to vote on (1 vote per day per person until June 14th 2012). The photo with the most votes by June 14th wins the product, just in time for Father’s Day! Check out your current competition here – you can take them!

Art @ Tekserve is a series of exhibitions featuring a diverse range of ‘styles, mediums and artists’, and this Saturday you can stop by the Tekserve store (119 West 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenue) to celebrate the opening of the Chester Higgins photography exhibit entitled “My Soul Flies Home to Africa”.

Chester Higgins Jr. is a New York Times staff photographer who has traveled to Africa over 30 times to “photograph the people, ancient sites, sacred rituals, and small town life in Ethiopia, Mali, Senegal & Ghana”.

His photos capture both the beauty and the emotion of his encounters and will be on display at Tekserve from May 5th through June 12th.

Creative Fridays continue at Tekserve (119 West 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenue), and this week you can come learn about the art and design of Katja Maas. Her experience included 10 years with Milton Glaser (of “I heart NY” icon fame) and more recently as head of Katja Maas Design. Aspiring designers, marketers, digital artists, and business owners looking for some creative flair – this is a chance to listen and learn from an expert in the craft.

From the program, “Katja truly is a multi-faceted and exceptional designer, whose talents span all aspects of the visual communications field – from corporate identity, web, and print design to interiors, fashion, and now video. Her lightning-fast approach to design is hugely innovative and collaborative, and her long-term clients include numerous NYC-based clients – including Tekserve, of course! – as well as a number of major US corporations and international arts and design groups in Europe. Katja will take us through key aspects of her creative process – and share a few “tools of the trade” that you won’t find in any textbook – from initial concept to creative development to final execution.”
