We read on PRUnderground.com that one of the coolest startup job fairs/recruiting events is back at Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue) on Thursday, November 14th. NYC UNCUBED features 60+ great startup companies looking to hire including SoundCloud, Square, Gilt, HuffPo Spotify, Tumblr, SimulMedia, Meetup, TheLadders, Shutterstock, Booker, Fog Creek, StackOverflow, 50onRed, Infusion, Redi, WordPress and more.
The day starts with workshops on topics like How to Get a Gig at a Startup, How to Launch a New Product, Developing a Startup Tech Structure, and Principles of Design among others. Then there will be plenty of time to meet and learn more about the hiring companies, who are looking for all types of positions (marketing, business, programming, design) and levels (entry-level to senior level).
There are also panels on topics like Perspectives on Technical Madness at Startups, Happy Hours: Mastering the Craft of Office Culture, and Electric Locomotive: Harrowing Tales & Truths from Startup Entrepreneurs. Panelists include Lauren Leto of RapGenius, Jon Oringer, Founder of Shutterstock, Patrick Moberg, Creator of Dots, Nathan Potter VP of Engineering at Chartbeat and Josh Schubkegel, CTO of REDI Technologies.
There’s even a cocktail hour to cap off the event.
It runs from 10:30am-7:30pm and tickets are limited but currently still available. Tickets range from $25-$45.
