Chef Cyril Renaud, owner of Bar Breton, has decided to shut down the restaurant with its focus on crepes/galetes, and re-open as La Quenelle (254 5th Avenue). Chef Renaud says that La Quenelle is a “great opportunity for me to re-imagine classic cuisine with a boundary-less approach”. According to the New York Times, the new menu will serve specialties such as “quenelles de brochet, seafood dumplings in lobster sauce, based on the recipe once used at La Caravelle in New York”.

People loved the Bar Breton burger (photo right). It will be interesting to see if they have a burger on the new menu.
