The guys at Birch Coffee (5 East 27th Street at the Gershwin Hotel) have informed me that with the warmer weather, they are doing something most cafes don’t do…they are cold brewing their iced coffee. Most places brew hot coffee and then cool it down before serving, but Birch has found cold brewing to be the optimal way to make it iced.

Supposedly it is “more addicting than crack”. Write in if you try it and let us know how it is.
