For those of you who have not been able to eat at Eataly (200 5th Avenue) due to long waits at each restaurant, you should know you can call in your pizza or pasta order to 646-398-5107 and pick it up at the pizza to go storefront on 24th Street between 5th and 6th avenue, often within 15 minutes of ordering.

It’s open between 11am-10pm and features 13 kinds of Neapolitan pizza. We tried the San Marzano ($13; Mozzarella, tomato sauce, parmigiano reggiano, and fresh basil) and the Fiaschetto ($17; Mozzarella, tomato sauce, nushrooms, ham, artichoke, black olives, parmigiano reggiano, and fresh basil). Both were quite good and held up pretty well on the walk home. I am sure they are better right out of the oven to your table on site, but the to-go counter is a great option when you would otherwise have a 45 minute wait for a table.

Each pie is plenty for one person, but not quite enough for 2 hungry people.

Here is the Eataly pizza menu.
