Punch (913 Broadway) provides one of the best deals in the neighborhood, with good creative fresh food at an affordable price. They are one of the few restaurants in the area that has lowered their prices in the last year to match the recession, and it is noticeable.

Beers ran at I believe $5, a good portion of atlantic salmon tartare was $6, and most entrees were between $11-$18. Coriander spiced Atlantic salmon with apple bacon rosti was fresh and flavorful for $15 and crispy half chicken with warm romaine and glazed celery also came in at $15. For thoughtfully prepared quality food in the Flatiron- it’s a good deal and definitely worth a visit. Here’s the menu. Yelpers give it a very solid 4 stars.

You can also head to their upstairs wine bar Wined Up for an after dinner drink. Both Punch and Wined Up are never empty, but always have room to walk in.
