Forcella, the pizzeria that won ‘Best New Pizza 2012‘ by Time Out for its other outposts, has opened a new location in our neighborhood at 377 Park Avenue South (between 26th and 27th Street). The award-winning Neapolitan pizza adds another best-of-NY option to what has become a highly competitive pizza market around Madison Square Park. Forcella is lead by Chef Giulio Adriani and they already have locations at 485 Lorimer Street in Williamsburg and 334 Bowery Street in Manhattan.

Forcella Park Ave serves up their award-winning pizza, plus insalate, antipasti and a mozzarella bar. Eatopia.com says to try the Montanara Pizza, the Margherita Extra Pizza, and the Arancini. Here is the full Forcella Menu.

It wasn’t too long ago that there were only a few pizza spots within walking distance, but in the last few years we have seen some of the best pizza places in the city come to the neighborhood, with Grimaldis, Eataly Le Pizza, Granduca, Waldy’s, Tappos, Zero Otto Nove, and now Forcella, and the neighborhood already had Patsy’s, Le Pizza Fresca, Bravo, Maffei, and Bella Napoli. Not to mention Roberta’s shows up 2 months of the year at the Madison Square Eats food stands.
