Last week, Harding’s restaurant (212.600.2105) opened in the Flatiron at 32 East 21st Street (between Broadway and Park Avenue South) which previously was Gravy. The theme here is American dishes and spirits, and the kitchen is run by chef Ariel Fox (previously at ACME).

They go way back in the decor, with civil war era remnants, and old school American dishes like Oysters Rockefeller and Waldorf salads (both from the 1800s!). Other menu items include Brook Trout, Sea Scallops, a Burger, Shortribs and Scalloped Potatoes. The bar has 40 seats, so plenty of room for an after work American cocktail, American brew, or glass of wine. Here is the full menu: http://hardingsnyc.com/Menus.html
