L & W Oyster Co opened their doors at 254 5th Avenue (between 28th and 29th Street) in the old Bar Breton spot. As you may guess from the name, the focus here is oysters, or more broadly, a clam/fish shack style spot. It’s the creation of Almond’s Jason Weiner and Eric Lemonides along with Antonio Rappazzo. They were able to score Chef David Belknap from Per Se to be chef de cuisine.

At L&W Oyster, it’s all about dressing down for lunch and up for dinner,” says co-owner Eric Lemonides. “We want L&W Oyster Co. to be a fun, accessible place where people can grab a fish sandwich and some pickles at lunch, then oysters and martinis after dark.” When lunch starts up in a couple weeks, they will get you in and out of there quickly, aiming for a ’30-minutes or less’ lunch.

In Addition to oysters, they have clams, shrimp cocktail, lobster cocktail, Lobster BLT, crab salad, clam chowder, scallop hash, and larger dishes like shrimp scampi and even a skirt steak, among many other items. We have included the menu below. Can not wait to try the oysters and other seafood fare at L&W. A great addition to the neighborhood!
