Neighborhood newcomer La Mar Cebicheria Peruana (11 Madison Avenue at 25th Street) starts brunch service today, and will serve it going forward Sundays only from 11:30am-5pm. We will try to get a copy of the menu for you.

Also, the Village Voice named their Pisco Sour one of the ’10 Best Cocktails to Drink Now’.

A Peruvian restaurant, La Mar is the creation of  Gastón Acurio and is the East Coast outpost of the restaurants of the same name in San Francisco, Lima, Mexico City, Santiago, Sao Paolo, and Panama City. Gastón Acurio is one of the most respected chefs to come out of South America. Victoriano Lopez is the Executive Chef at the restaurant.
