Raymi, the new Richard Sandoval modern Peruvian restaurant, is now open in the spot formerly held by Nuela (43 West 24th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue). For this new venture, Sandoval partnered with Chef/Owner Jaime Pesaque of Mayta Restaurante Bar in Lima, Peru. We have not been to Raymi yet, but the food and drinks look great.

If you need any incentive to stop by, you can even have get a complimentary cocktail at Raymi by joining the Raymi email list. Sign up at www.richardsandoval.com/raymi/mailing-list.php and be sure to select Raymi as your restaurant.

Hanger Steak Anticuchos

We also now have published almost all of the menus, which feature ceviches, tiraditos (Peruvian sashimi), meat and seafood skewers, and entrees such as Hot Rock Ceviche, Arroz con Pato, Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin, and more. Prices range from $11-18 for small plates, and $22-$32 for main courses.  The Pisco Infusion list is stunning, with 30 infusions on the menu including Ginger, Mango, Blackberry, Kiwi, Coconut and Coffee (SEE the full menu below). Of course they also serve Pisco Sours as well.
