Spun out of No 7 Restaurant in Fort Greene Brooklyn, sandwich shop No. 7 Sub (1188 Broadway between 28/29th street) did an unannounced soft opening Friday (until they ran out of their home made bread) but was open again today (until they ran out of their home made bread…again) serving up an eclectic selection of $9 sandwiches. While it’s more expensive than a $5 sub you find at the chains, the quality of the ingredients is on another level, incredibly fresh and home made. It’s also more than enough food for one.

I can only speak about the Turkey Cubano with mustard, swiss cheese and pickled daikon. It’s really good. You do have to wait a bit to get your food and there is no place to sit, but it’s worth it.

I will definitely be back to try more.
