We reported a while back about Pergola looking to open in the neighborhood and we just got word that Pergola restaurant will open today at 36 West 28th Street (between Broadway and 6th Avenue) in Nomad.
Executive Chef Nestor Moina (Remi Restaurant and Nerai) has crafted a Mediterranean menu influenced by the flavors of Greece, Turkey and across the Middle East. The menu includes items such as Stuffed Grape Leaves, Cigars (lamb, chicken and vegetables wrapped in phyllo), Pergola Wings, a Lamb Burger, Shawarma Plate, Pergola Mixed Grill (chargrilled baby lamb chop, merguez, kofta and kabob), and Falafel Crusted Wild Salmon.
The 3,700 square foot former flower shop will serve signature cocktails such as Jalisco Rose (Reposado Tequila shaken with amber agave, apples, rosemary and lime juice) and Spearmint 75 (vodka with lemon, torn spearmint, agave, lemon rind and a splash of Prosecco) from mixologist Scott Fitzgerald (Mulberry Project), and a 12-flavored hookah menu.
There will also be lively music each night.
