Alex Van Buren of Chow.com recently visited neighborhood Thai spot Rhong-Tiam (31 East 21st Street) to try the khao soi (coconut-based soup with noodles) and the banana roti (crepe like banana dessert). Rhong-Tiam is somewhat of a neighborhood newcomer after getting rave reviews at their East Village restaurant. They are known for their ‘pork-on-fire’, salads, roti wraps, juice, bubble tea, yogurt, and ’15 Thai desserts’ all to go.
