rickshawWhile we know that Rickshaw Dumpling Bar is a finalist in the 2009 Vendy Awards for their dumpling truck, we are lucky enough to have the restauranmt just west of Madison Square Park at 61 West 23rd street (They also deliver to the area). So what makes these dumplings different? Fresh ingredients like Bell & Evans chicken, Hudson Valley duck and fresh herbs and vegetables as well as a paired dipping sauce for each dumpling. They serve 6 types of dumplings including a Classic Pork & Chinese Chive, a Chicken & Thai Basil, a Szechuan Chicken, a Hudson Valley Peking Duck, a Shrimp dumpling with Wasabi dipping sauce, and an Edamame dumpling with lemon sansho dipping sauce. Tips: 1) Eat them while they are still hot- they are MUCH better right away. Don’t let them sit. 2) Get a few kinds with friends and share. Eating 6 or more of one type gets monotonous.
