Yes we have a lot of great pizza in the Flatiron area these days, but for the next week, you still should try Roberta’s Pizza at the Madison Square Eats food stands. Why?

  1. The Bee Sting: The combination of the spicy sopresetta and the sweet honey is awesome. It also doesn’t seem to be on the regular menu in Brooklyn.
  2. They bring their own mobile wood-fire oven, and make each pizza on the spot. Nothing sits around.
  3. They are normally based in Brooklyn, so save yourself the commute and try it while it’s in the neighborhood.

They also have the Margherita (tomato, mozzarella, basil) and the Specken Wolf (mozzarella, speck, mushrooms, onion, oregano) .

Here is a list of all the food stands in Madison Square Park. It runs every day from 11am to 9pm through June 3rd just west of Madison Square Park in the “Worth Square” area between 5th and Broadway and 24th Street and 25th Street. Grab lunch, an afternoon snack, or an amazing dinner to go.
