We get word from the New York Post that a Sarabeth’s restaurant/bakery will be going in at 381 Park Avenue South (at 27th Street) just northeast of Madison Square Park. The location is the massive space formerly held by Primehouse New York, which closed this year.

It will be the 9th and largest location for Sarabeth’s. Founded by Sarabeth and Bill Levine in 1981, they are probably best known for their fruit jams/preserves, as well as their brunch, and their creamy tomato soup with gruyere. It’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood, where there are not a lot of restaurants who really put a heavy focus on brunch. Word is they will open in February of 2013. We will update you as we get more info.
