Silk Rd Tavern Short Ribs

Silk Rd Tavern opened last month at 46 West 22nd Street just southwest of Madison Square Park, serving Asian American fusion dishes. The executive chef is Leo Forneas, who was born in the Phillipines and worked at Oceana, as Sous Chef at Jean Georges’ 66 Restaurant, as Executive Chef at Philadelphia’s Sampan as well as NYC’s Robert, and under Top Chef Master Marcus Samuelsson at Aquavit.

Dishes include the Big Eye Tuna Tartar with Uni Vinaigrette & Chinese Celery, Singapore Chili Crab Pot Pie with Maryland Blue Crab & Salted Black Beans, Bbq Braised Short Ribs with Kimchee Brussel Sprouts & a Sunny Egg, and an Everything Duck Egg Roll with Foie Gras & Apricot Mustard.
