Doughnut Plant caught us in a weak moment and we went in to try the seasonal Pumpkin doughnut (pictured right). The Pumpkin doughnut features pumpkin Glaze and spiced pumpkin seeds on top and we washed it down with a… Triple Chocolate doughnut. Both were awesome. Then we went to the gym.

Doughnut Plant is located in the retail space below the old Chelsea Hotel (220 W 23rd St between 7th & 8th Avenue)

They have modernized the doughnut with unique flavors, shapes and fillings. In the past we tried the Creme Brulee, the Chocolate Chip Cookie doughnut, and the Coconut Creme Square. The Creme Brulee was one of the most unique doughnuts I’ve seen, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie doughnut may not be mistaken for it’s namesake, but the sugary coating really hit the spot with a coffee. The Coconut Creme features their unique creme filled square doughnut. We still want to try the Valrhona and the Blackout (plus maybe a PB&J).

They are open 8am until around 8pm and make a great afternoon snack with a coffee.
