The Jean-Georges restaurant ABC Kitchen (35 east 18th street between broadway & park avenue) found in the ABC Home building in the Flatiron serves a menu of really good food. But in particular, two oftentimes simple dishes are at the top of their class – the burger and the sundae. The burger is actually a Akaushi cheeseburger with herbed mayo and pickled jalapeno jalapenos with house-cut fries ($21) and the Sundae features salted caramel ice cream, candied peanuts & popcorn, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce ($8). Both are amazing. While it’s hard to pay $21 for a burger, you have to think of it more like a steak, because it is prepared with more care and as much quality as most steaks.  And the sundae is more than enough for 3 people to share.

Other pleasant surprises on the menu are the roast carrot and avocado salad ($12), the organic crispy chicken ($21), and the spinach goat cheese and herb whole wheat pizza ($13). Here is the full ABC Kitchen menu. They are open for brunch, lunch and dinner. Two incredible dishes at ABC Kitchen in the Flatiron, 3.0 out of 5 based on 1 rating
