Update: SD26 Restaurant hosts first event in new location

San Domenico Restaurant, in its new incarnation as SD26 on Madison Square Park, hosted a pre-opening event tonight (Saturday night).
The Italian standout thrived on Central Park South for 20 years, but will get new life on 26th Street, across the park from heavy hitters Eleven Madison Park, Tabla, and A Voce.
Monday, another pre-open event for the New York Wine & Food Festival will also be hosted at SD26. Check out Eater for more info.

Thanks! When I walked by that restaurant I was like “what up with that?” Do you know anything about all those army vehicles parked along 25th street just east of Park? Are they shooting a movie there? What up with that?
