The 2012 NYC Veterans Day Parade is this Sunday, November 11th from about 11:30am-3:30pm. It starts with a ceremony at 10am at the Eternal Light Monument (5th Avenue @ 24th Street) just west of Madison Square Park and a wreath laying at 11:00 AM (11/11 at 11am).

Then the parade starts at 26th and 5th Avenue on the north side of Madison Square Park and runs up to 56th Street. More info at www.vetsday.org/parade-components-schedule. Lots of marching bands and all branches of the military participate. The featured service this year will be the U.S. Coast Guard. The Parade will mark the 150th anniversary of the Medal of Honor and the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.
