This month, the Time Warner Cable store just south of Madison Square Park (between Park Avenue South and Madison Avenue) will be collecting non-perishable food items on behalf of Food Bank For New York City and City Harvest. Donations will be accepted through December 22 at the store so go through your cupboard and pick out a few cans of soup, vegetables, tuna, etc to feed some hungry New Yorkers.

City Harvest is working hard to put meals on the table for the hungry men, women and children who rely on us every day, while supporting New Yorkers who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy,” said Robyn Stein, Director of Corporate Partnerships for City Harvest.  “With the demand for emergency food increasing, City Harvest appreciates that Time Warner Cable has launched this food drive, which will help us fill our trucks and deliver more than 125,000 pounds of food a week to our hungry neighbors.
