Energized by the Supreme Court rulings this week, the NYC Pride Parade for 2013 should be bigger than ever, starting at 36th Street & 5th Avenue at 12 noon on Sunday, running down 5th Avenue adjacent to Madison Square Park and through the Flatiron and ending at Christopher & Greenwich Streets.
Note that 5th Avenue is closed throughout the parade route and the crowds get thick by noon.
Of course it’s free to attend and is one of the biggest (2 million attendees!) and liveliest parades in New York City with music pumping through the air all day on the 68 floats with 13,000 marchers. Grand Marshals this year will be Edie Windsor, Harry Belafonte, and Earl Fowlkes.
They have even lit up the Empire State Building for the pride parade weekend.
