Most of the time the squirrels of Madison Square Park live a pretty great life. Perfectly landscaped park, trees to climb, food to scavenge, tourists to pose with, and no predators… well except for the red-tailed hawk who has made Madison Square Park a hunting ground over the last couple years.

Tonight, a squirrel got it, right in the center of the lawn. Here is a video of the hawk trying to fly off with it…(fullscreen is best to view it- sorry just an iphone video!) and this is not the first time.
