Word is out that The Flatiron Room will be open up to the public this evening at 37 West 26th Street (between Broadway and 6th Avenue) with over 500 varieties of whiskey in the house. From what we hear, you can even buy a bottle and keep it stored there in your name for future visits.

It’s the latest creation of nightlife veteran Tommy Tardie, and in addition to its selection of whiskeys and other spirits, it will have nightly live entertainment and a menu of light fare. The cocktail menu features creations of mixologist Miguel Aranda (Daniel, Bar Masa and Apotheke). There will also be a tasting room offering classes on whiskey education.

We wanted to create a gathering place for whiskey enthusiasts, a space where they can explore new bottles and reconnect with old favorites,” said Tommy Tardie.
