Most of you know about or have seen the red-tailed hawk which hangs around Madison Square Park. The park is like a buffet of well-fed squirrels and pigeons and in Madison Square Park where there is no competition, this hawk is the king, the top of the food chain.

Well this morning it used the Charles Long sculptures in Madison Square Park as a perch from which to survey the oval lawn and trees. I didn’t stick around to see what happened next, but I think think you can cancel your subscription to Nat Geo if you are into the predator-prey natures shows.
