In the week before the hurricane hit, Apple made big announcements about the new iPad Mini and the new iMac, among other product updates, and Tekserve, our neighborhood Apple experts, (119 West 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenue) have published their take on why they love the new iMac. You can read it at Here are the highlights:

  • Industrial blade thin – At the edge, the new iMac is 5mm thick. 5mm!
  • Fusion Drive – A super-fast 128GB flash drive with either a 1TB or 3TB standard hard drive. The backend software puts the things you use most on the flash portion, and everything else on the hard drive, according to Tekserve.
  • Highest speed connection ports – Four USB 3 ports, two Thunderbolt ports, and a gigabit Ethernet port.

The 21.5-inch model will be released in November, starting at $1299. The 27-inch comes out in December, and starts at $1799. Find out how you can get $1,125 in free benefits when you buy a Mac and AppleCare at Tekserve.
