Madison Square Park LawnThe US men’s soccer team faces Portugal in a huge game in the World Cup today at 6pm, and they will be screening it live on a jumbo TV screen on the big lawn at Madison Square Park. It’s free to attend and kicks off at noon with Belgium playing Russia, followed by South Korea versus Algeria (3pm) and then the USA versus Portugal match (6pm).

If you have not been following, the US team beat Ghana in their first game, and if they win today they go on to the next round. Even if they lose or tie they are not eliminated, but a win here would be huge. They face a Portugal team that has one of the top 3 soccer players in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo. Can the US contain him? Should be a great match.

We have even heard that ESPN will be broadcasting live from the park and up-linking crowd shots. (There will also be a poster giveaway at 3pm).
