Argo Tea donates to Madison Square Park through ChariTEA

Through August 2nd, when you order Argo Tea’s (949 Broadway @ 22nd street) ChariTEA (cherry hibiscus blend), a portion of the proceeds will go to Madison Square Park.

Hopefully you can get it iced!

Argo Tea opening in the Flatiron Building – no photos please

Chicago’s Argo Tea opened Friday in the Flatiron building (949 Broadway), bringing their variety of over 30 loose leaf teas and specialty blends (see menu) to New York City.

We tried a free sample outside which was a hybrid tea-cider that was good.

Beware though, inside they are super weird about cameras…they will stop you from taking photos. Which brings up the question – is someone really going to steal the concept based on a photo? Is the business that vulnerable? Strange considering they pretty much copy the layout of a Starbucks or Coffee Bean. They should focus more on the quality of their product and being friendly and not freaking out about whether someone takes a photo inside their store. Bizarre.

Argo Tea coming soon to the Flatiron building

[argo tea] According to It’s All Fare, Chicago’s Argo Tea will be coming soon to the Flatiron building (949 Broadway), bringing their variety of over 30 loose leaf teas and specialty blends (see photo) to New York City.

With Cafe Grumpy nearby, the additions of Birch Coffee and Stumptown, and Eataly’s offering coming soon, Madison Square Park area residents and visitors all of the sudden have no shortage of high quality beverage choices within walking distance.
