Play, the new cafe and bar next to the Museum of Sex, is now open

The Museum of Sex has just opened an adjacent cafe and bar called Play. Currently the coffee area is open and they sell pastries (croissants from Balthazar) and sandwiches. The espresso is Espresso ‘Intelligentsia’ Black Cat Project and the coffee is ‘Speckled Axe’ Wood Roasted Coffee. The bar area and lounge is not open yet but is slated to open by September according to our source.

The cafe is contemporary and nice and what you might find as part of the Museum of Modern Art. It is next door to Birch Cafe, so it should be interesting to see if there is room on that block for two successful cafes.
