Grimaldi’s pizzeria open; Zero Otto Nove coming to Flatiron

Reports are in that the legendary Grimaldi’s pizzeria opened today in the Flatiron Limelight location (6th Avenue at 20th street).

Also, It’s All Fare reports that Italian Trattoria Zero Otto Nove of the Bronx is coming to the Flatiron in the spot briefly occupied by Cana Sushi at 15 West 21st Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Zero Otto Nove is also known for its pizza. Yelpers give the place 4 stars.

The addition of Eataly’s Le Pizza, Grimaldis, and Zero Otto Nove, in addition to local favorites Patsys and La Pizza Fresca, propel a few block radius in the Flatiron to become a pizza mecca in the city. You pretty much can’t go wrong with these choices.

Grimaldis to open in the Flatiron on Monday (with free pizza this week!)

A reader tips us off that the legendary Grimaldi’s pizzeria will finally open up on Monday, January 24th in the Limelight Marketplace (6th Avenue and 20th Street), and they were told there would be free pizza handed out in the afternoons this week as part of the opening.
