Hair Party 24 closing in Nomad

hair party 24Need a haircut or manicure at 4am? Well you are going to have to go a bit further to get one. Hair Party 24 (76 Madison Avenue at 28th Street) opened in 2009 with the promise that they would be open 24 hours a day for salon services, a concept exported from the original Hair Party 24 in Seoul, South Korea.

But now they are closing their location at 76 Madison and consolidating with their second location at 450 Park Avenue South (between 30th and 31st Street). They will move August 20th, and a sign says there will be 20% off all services at the new location. No word yet on what will go into the current space (which is a great space by the way).

Charles Long’s whimsical sculpture installation opens in Madison Square Park

Hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy, the art installation by California sculptor Charles Long in Madison Square Park is now open to the public.
