Lineup announced for the Madison Square Park Music Studio Series

The Oval Lawn music series in Madison Square Park may have ended, but the lineup for the free Madison Square Park Music Studio Series was just announced by the Madison Square Park Conservancy. The theme here is American music (Americana, roots, bluegrass, blues, and folk) and it all starts up Saturday, September 15th, and then it follows for 3 more Saturdays and ends on October 6th.

It’s FREE, and takes place at 3pm each Saturday on the south side of Madison Square Park (near the Shake Shack) near 23rd and 5th Avenue. Here is the lineup:

James Maddock and Band play Madison Square Park this evening

The annual Madison Square Park Music series kicks off this evening at 7pm with singer/songwriter James Maddock and Band. It’s a FREE series hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy and it takes place on the Oval Lawn in Madison Square Park on Wednesday evenings. It’s also the 10th season of the program!

Nora Jane Struthers and Jean Rohe Trio play Madison Square Park today (free)

Today is the last day of the Madison Square Music Studio Series for 2011, and the final performers are Nora Jane (classic Americana) as well Jean Rohe.

It’s free and goes from 3-5pm in Madison Square Park.

The music series is put on by the Madison Square Park Conservancy with support from The Baisley Powell Elebash Fund, Kew Management, Zwicker Electric Co., Danley Sound Labs, WFUV 90.7FM, SIA Acoustics, and ACE Hotel New York.

Jay Ungar & Molly Mason plus 3 Penny Acre play Madison Square Park today

As part of the Madison Square Music Studio Series, hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy, there will be live music by Jay Ungar & Molly Mason (American roots/folk/fiddle) as well as 3 Penny Acre (folk, Americana) today in Madison Square Park.

It’s free and goes from 3-5pm.
