Pedrito Martinez Group and Brian Lynch (Cuban Soulful jazz) play tonight on the lawn in Madison Square Park as part of the summer Oval Lawn music series.

Red Horse plays madison Square Park lawn tonight

As part of the Oval Lawn music series, Wednesday evening in Madison Square Park will feature live folk music from Red Horse with Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka, and Lucy Kaplansky

It’s free and runs from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

As part of the Oval Lawn music series, Wednesday evening in Madison Square Park will feature live music from Lionel Loueke Trio (West-African influenced jazz), Edmar Castaneda Trio (Columbian-influenced jazz on the harp) plus special guest Andrea Tierra.

It’s free and runs from 6:00pm-8:30pm. Bring a blanket and hang out on the lawn while listening to music.

Tift Merritt plays Madison Square Park lawn tonight (Free)

Singer-songwriter Tift Merritt is first up in the summer line up of the annual Madison Square Park Music series, which starts tonight. She plays this evening at 7pm on the oval lawn in Madison Square Park and it is free to attend.

Guy Davis and David Jacobs-Strain play Madison Square Park on Saturday

The Madison Square Music Studio Series continues Saturday with live music from Guy Davis (Folk Blues – www.guydavis.com) and David Jacobs-Strain (roots singer-songwriter – www.davidjacobs-strain.com)

The Saturday show today is free and starts at 3pm. (See the full fall schedule hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy)

Catie Curtis and Mike & Ruthy play live in Madison Square Park tonight

The Madison Square Music Studio Series kicks off today with live music from Boston based singer-songwriter Catie Curtis.

The show is free and starts at 3pm. Opening up will be folk rock from Mike and Ruthy. Here’s a video of them jamming live in Lake Tahoe.
