According to the Real Deal and a study by Grubb & Ellis, the office leasing market is strong in Manhattan with the bulk of the space leased has been in two areas, our very own Madison Square Park as well as East of Park Avenue in Midtown. Fall Kids Fest 2011 is this Saturday in Madison Square Park

Fall Kids Fest 2011 is happening this Saturday October 15 from 11am to 2pm in Madison Square Park. There will be ” live music, games, arts and crafts activities, face painting and snacks” and it’s is all free.

Kids Fest is hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy and co-presented by Time Out Kids, with additional sponsorships from New York Life, Appleseeds, Marimekko, CLIF Kid, CLIF Bar, The Museum of Mathematics, Rubin Museum of Art, Big Apple Circus, The Little Orchestra Society, Pirate’s Booty, Hurds Family Farm, and The Treats Truck. Design your own Marimekko key chain Saturday in Madison Square Park

Saturday from 11:30am-4:30pm in the Southern area of Madison Square Park, you can make your own Marimekko-inspired key chain with designers Erja Hirvi and Mika Piirainennd. It’s brought to you by the Madison Square Park Conservancy.

The Marimekko flagship store is now open at 200 5th Avenue just west of New York’s Madison Square Park (adjacent to Eataly). Marimekko features clothing, accessories and home products, including tons of fabric so you can make your own stuff. Marimekko was founded in Finland.

John Hammond plays Madison Square Park today at 3pm

As part of the Madison Square Music Studio Series, hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy, there will be live music by John Hammond (acoustic blues from a legend) & Suzie Vinnick (blues, folk-roots) today in Madison Square Park.

It’s free and goes from 3-5pm.

It’s all free and put on by the Madison Square Park Conservancy with support from The Baisley Powell Elebash Fund, Kew Management, Zwicker Electric Co., Danley Sound Labs, WFUV 90.7FM, SIA Acoustics, and ACE Hotel New York.

Apparently Bachelorette Ashley Hebert told People Magazine that when she comes to New York, her first stop with her dog is Madison Square Park, seemingly to get some dog treats from the Shake Shack.
