GiltCity.com, the ‘invite-only’ spinoff of Gilt (Here is your invite: www.giltcity.com/invite/brians77) , has a singles event in the neighborhood at SPiN New York (48 East 23 Street between Park and Madison) with an open bar, free desserts, DJ, and of course ping pong with hipsters. The event is co-hosted by tthe Grace List. The venue is owned by Susan Sarandon.

The cost is $55 and they are regulating the number of men and women to be as even as possible.

As of Thursday, Spin New York is now open at Park and 23rd (304 Park Ave South), bringing 14,000 square feet of table tennis (ping pong) and a 3oft bar and lounge for hipsters and ping ping enthusiasts. It’s $15/half hour of the standard tables, or if you have Olympic hopes, you can take down the Stadium Court for $50/half hour. memberships are also available.
