Bloomberg top 10 list includes 3 Madison Square Park neighborhood restaurants

Bloomberg.com’s food critic Richard Vines just announced his top 10 New York City restaurants, and 3 of them are right here in the Madison Square Park area. The Breslin (20 West 29th Street), Gramercy Tavern (42 East 20th Street), and Eleven Madison Park (11 Madison Avenue) all made the list, with a mention as well to Stumptown for their coffee. Congrats!

Last night was the Flatiron Chefs event in Madison Square Park, which raises loads of money to support the upkeep of and free programs in Madison Square Park . The event featured 26 of the best chefs and restaurants in the neighborhood serving up signature tastes of some amazing food. You pretty much could not go wrong with any of the food and it’s astounding to think that all of these restaurants rival the best food in the world, and they are within blocks of the Madison Square Park neighborhood. It was hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy. Here are some mouth-watering images from the event.

ABC Kitchen and The Breslin named among Top 12 restaurants with the “Hottest Clientele”

Eater compiled a list of the top 12 restaurants with the “Hottest Clientele”, and for what it’s worth, our neighborhood’s very own ABC Kitchen (35 East 18th St) and the Breslin (20 west 29th street) made the cut.

Flatiron Chefs in Madison Square Park: Update on the newcomers

Three newcomers to the Madison Square Park area had stands at the Flatiron Chefs event and MadParkNews.com did some investigating as to when they might open their respective doors in the area.

Flatiron Chefs in Madison Square Park: Pork anyone?

The Breslin featured a pork belly sandwich, craftbar had fresh bacon with heirloom tomato and bibb lettuce, Fatty Crab/Cue had a whole smoked pig, Picknick had Smoked Pork Sliders with coleslaw, Pranna had a bacon wrapped prawn satay, Punch had a BBQ pork & bean sausage roll, Resto had Pork with carbonade BBQ sauce & pickles on thick cut pullman bread, and SD26 had rosemary scented roasted pork served on fresh country bread.

Update: The Breslin and Stumptown in New York

Our sources say both the Breslin Restaurant and Stumptown Coffee will not open until ‘late August’ in the Ace Hotel on 29th Street.
