Real Estate BisNow reports that the development at 124 West 23rd Street (between 6th and 7th Avenue west of Madison Square Park) has broken ground, making it the first new residential development in Manhattan to do so in 2011.

The developer is Anbau Enterprises.

The luxury condo building will have 16 floors with 34 units and 4000 square feet of retail space, according to the developer’s website and will be complete 2012. The design is by BKSK Architects and the interiors will be by Andres Escobar & Associates.
